During this Holy Week, we follow Jesus with open hearts, guided by Saint Pio—a man of the Cross, of prayer, and of mercy.
Prayer for Holy Week with Saint Pio of Pietrelcina
Lord Jesus, during this Holy Week, we desire to follow you step by step: into the silence of the garden, under the weight of the Cross, and in the gift of your boundless love. Let our hearts not remain distracted—open them to the great mystery of your Passion and Resurrection. Give us eyes to recognize you in the world’s suffering, and hands ready to wipe away the tears of our brothers and sisters.

With Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, a man of the Cross and of mercy, we want to learn how to offer our sufferings in love and to forgive with a sincere heart. Padre Pio, you who lived every Mass as a new Calvary, who tirelessly welcomed souls thirsting for God’s mercy in the confessional, be our guide in prayer.
O Crucified Jesus, make us able to remain with you not only when it is easy, but above all when it requires sacrifice.
And when the darkness grows deeper, let us—like Padre Pio—be able to say: “Let your will be done, Jesus, even in suffering.” Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, whom Padre Pio called “my hope, my refuge, my comfort,” stay with us beneath the Cross and lead us into the light and hope of Easter morning. Amen.
