Padre Pio, we come today to beg you to protect the world and its inhabitants with peace. Drive away from mankind the destructive tide of war and terrorism; restore friendship among the peoples and pour into men’s hearts the gift of trust and forgiveness. Glorious Padre Pio, we pray to you for all those who have died as victims of brutal terrorist attacks. Grant them justice and eternal joy.
Most gentle Padre Pio, we pray for the wounded of all wars: children and youth, women and men, the elderly and innocent. Heal their bodies and their hearts, strengthen them with your consolation, and drive away hatred and the desire for revenge. Padre Pio, be present to families who mourn the loss of their relatives, innocent victims of violence and war.
